New Pocket Park
What’s Coming in Spring 2026
Fayette Forward, in partnership with Fayette County and Georgia Power, is excited to share a first look at a new pocket park coming soon to Fayetteville.
Located on the northeast corner of Veteran’s Pkwy and Eastin Road, it is expected to open in Spring 2026.
This thoughtfully designed community space will offer residents and visitors new ways to connect with nature, enjoy recreation, and experience the beginning of Fayette’s expanding Countywide Path System.
Multi-Use Path
Approximately 1,000 feet of new concrete, ADA accessible, 12-foot-wide multi-use path will anchor the park-perfect for all types of users. This area serves as a model for future segments of the Countywide Path System.
Soft Surface Trails
Peaceful natural trails will wind through the landscape, offering a quiet place to walk and enjoy Fayette County’s beautiful environment.
Observation Areas
Spots to sit and to view nature and Whitewater Creek will provide opportunities for relaxation, photography, birdwatching, and taking in the scenery.
This new park represents a meaningful investment in quality of life, outdoor recreation, and the future of connected green spaces in Fayette County.
We look forward to welcoming the community to this park. More information and opening details will be shared as we get closer to Spring 2026.
